Theodore Roosevelt Museum at Old Orchard at 12 Sagamore Hill Road, Oyster Bay, New York.

A self guiding tour with objects from the life of Theodore Roosevelt. Very informative and interesting. I was very fortunate to see Theodore Roosevelt’s metal of Honor on a visit. The metal now is in Washington D.C.. If you a hiker there is a downward trail leading to a nature preserve with a nice bridge walk. Located behind this house. At trails end you will discover another reason why Theodore loved this location A beautiful shoreline with stunning views of Cold Spring Harbor. It is best to walk to the Old Orchard museum from the main house because it has limited parking. There is also a short movie on Theodore’s life. This museum is a great compliment to the Sagamore Hill National Park. It is very kid friendly. There are restrooms. And places to sit.
